Learn More About Clinical Research Trials
New treatments cannot move forward without volunteers willing to participate in research studies. These studies investigate new disease treatments and medical devices for both safety and effectiveness.
Why Should I Participate in a Clinical Research Trial?
People participate in clinical trials for several different reasons. Healthy volunteers say they participate in helping others and in contributing to moving science forward.
Patient volunteers with illnesses or diseases also participate in helping others and possibly receive the newest treatment and have the added care and attention from the clinical trial staff.
Clinical trials provide hope for many people and an opportunity to help researchers find better treatments for others in the future.
